The latest series by acclaimed young South African artist Ari Hersch is titled 'Behind the Frame'. The series features sketches of globally recognized icons from various sectors including sport, entertainment, music and fashion. Each individual is wearing a pair of glasses in a different brand, shape and size.

Commenting on the series, Hersch says, "Despite being such a simple accessory, glasses wield significant power over the wearer. Frames dictate how people are perceived as well as change self-perception. At the same time, seeing the world through a small piece of glass changes one's perception of their surroundings."
